This was based off of someone else's clone of Guinness Draught. I changed the flaked barley to flaked rye for a bit of spice, and increased the roasted barley for more color, and a touch of roast. The acidulated malt is not for pH correction, rather is there to supply a little "twang" or tartness, which I think it does a nice job of, even at 1% of the total grist.

    4.0lb 2-row pale malt
    1.0lb Flaked Rye
    0.5lb Roasted Barley
    0.06lb (1oz) Acidulated Malt

    1.00oz E. Kent Golding 4.5%aa FWH

    WLP004 900ml starter

    OG 1.049
    FG 1.013
    SRM 36
    IBU 32

    BIAB - mash at 152 for 60 mins with a 1.8 qt/lb ratio.
    Amigo, lay them raises down.

This sounds really good. I like the ideas around the recipe tweaks.

i've been wanting to try some acidulated malt in a beer for a while. this seems like a good use of it. Really like the use of FWH here too. That really makes sense.
